Have you ever met a pig at eye level? A closer look at the foot, teat or trunk? Our awesome pig terrace in our Tibetan village makes that possible .The pigs also enjoy this new perspective and the increased angle of view of what is going on around them.
And there is a lot going on! There is an enclosure for children only where they can rummage for treasures like pigs. The zoo-educational idea behind that: what is so great about a pig's trunk? How is it useful to them and how is it used? In this way, knowledge is conveyed in a playful and future-compliant way.
But that is not all:The four sows have eighty piglets a year. In order to be able to control the fertility of our group of pigs better the existing facility was expanded in 2016 to include a very cozy "love nest". Our boar "Black Jack" lives there in his own suite in the stable which includes an outdoor enclosure, wallow and lookout. To avoid being alone, he has a sow by his side. The other females are brought to him specifically for erotic hours.
By the way, you can also get a glimpse into the love nest from above. The roof of the stable can be climbed over a bridge spanning the enclosure. In the middle of a blooming roof meadow there is a cozy spot directly above the love nest waiting for you. It is almost like floating off into seventh pig heaven ...
