Are you interested in animals or would you like to get involved in species and nature conservation? Do you like to approach people and pass on your knowledge? Then become part of our team on a voluntary basis!

Zoo ranger

What zoo rangers do:

  • Support in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of events such as Easter and zoo festivals (set-up and dismantling, handicraft, play and make-up stands, etc.)
  • Supervision of walk-in enclosures in the zoo and advice to visitors

What zoo rangers should bring with them:

  • A good feeling for people of all ages and joy to approach them
  • Willingness to work on busy days such as weekends and public holidays (events)

Zoo ambassador

What zoo ambassadors do:

  • Guided tours of pre-school and primary school children as well as birthday groups through the zoo
  • Supervision of information stands - create awareness of global relationships in species and nature conservation

What zoo ambassadors bring:

  • completed training as a zoo ranger
  • Interest in animals, species and nature conservation
  • Enjoy sharing exciting knowledge with a wide variety of visitor groups
  • Willingness to work on busy days such as weekends and public holidays and / or working days during school hours
  • ideally an educational or scientific background

What all volunteers can expect

  • a varied and enriching activity in a great team
  • an intensive familiarization with the zoo and nature conservation topics
  • Effort and promotion based on personal knowledge, skills and wishes
  • a zoo ranger or ambassador pass - 365 days of access to the zoo
  • Participation in company festivals
