Get to know and experience

A day at the zoo school is always something very special and in addition to many impressions from the direct animal and nature experience, some exciting facts are guaranteed to be kept in mind. Especially for children with little animal contact there is the possibility to see, hear, smell and even feel them in the domestic animal and pet area! This is where the love for animals, for different animal species and for nature can develop - a development process of great value!

Teaching about the living animals includes technical-biological as well as social, cultural and playful aspects. Our used methods are guided tours, rallies or lessons in our zoo school. Targeted observations, interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning capture biological relationships. Sustainability, nature and environmental protection are of great importance in Görlitz Nature Conservation Zoo so that willingness to act and competence to act in these areas are encouraged in a playful way.

For appointments, topics and lessons please contact us at least two weeks in advance via our online booking request Biology lessons/ guided tours from upper secondary level are generally only possible on Fridays.
Here you can find our price list.

Please remind your children of weatherproof clothing and optionally of paper, pen and a writing pad.
We reserve the right to cancel guided tours or lessons if the participants repeatedly behave excessively loudly or in violation of the visitor regulations. Only the supervisors (teachers, daycare teachers, parents etc.) are responsible for educational measures.

Our zoo school

Our well-equipped zoo school is available for illustrtive lessons in the classroom. In addition to a total of 30 seats, modern projector technology, blackboard and lectern with speakers, display cases with various exhibits or our historical hand-painted origin cards provide the right learning atmosphere.

In addition to classical lessons lectures are regularly held here e.g. as part of our "Zoo discussions for seniors" or special workshops for teachers, photographers and other target groups.
