in the enclosure for steppe foxes, also called corsacs, opened in 2021. With a shoulder height of 30 cm and their weight of 2.5 kg, they are among the smaller representatives of the canine species. Particularly noticeable are their intense amber-colored eyes, with which they are always vigilant about their surroundings.
The facility fits seamlessly into the Tibetan village of the zoo. The central design element is the backdrop of a carpenter's workshop, behind which a 16m² indoor area is hidden for the foxes. The outdoor area estimated at 60m² in the style of wood storage and courtyard houses numerous authentic equipment, many different levels and hiding places for food and the animals themselves, which meets the animals' needs for movement, variety, activity and foraging. Large panoramic windows and diverse views of the facility make it possible to experience the lively animals from different perspectives.
