Half chicken, half rabbit?

In the Middle Ages, this breed of chicken, originally from China and Mongolia, was presented in the circus for a long time as a crossbred between rabbits and chickens. The „plush impression“ comes from the fact that the
contour feathers lack the hooks on the secondary branches that normally connect the feathers to form a coherent surface.
